Come learn about the EPA Portolfio Manager tool that helps you create an inventory of energy use! This free event is being hosted by Clean Air - Cool Planet on January 6, 2008 in Nashua, NH.

Hello Local Energy Committee Members!

After talking with committees all over New Hampshire, we have learned that many of you desire more information on creating an inventory of energy use, or benchmark process for your town, or may be having trouble figuring out how to approach this task.

The EPA has free software called Portfolio Manager that helps you enter data and put together a portfolio of the energy usage in town buildings. The software is free to use on the internet on your own -- but we want to take it a step further and help you actually learn how to use it.

We have put together a free, hands-on workshop on Portfolio Manager on January 6th at Nashua Community College in Nashua, and are inviting you to attend. 505 Amherst Street Nashua Classroom # 166.

Each person will have a computer station so registration is required. If you can't attend personally, consider asking someone on the town municipal staff to attend.

Come with fuel and electricity bills and other necessary information for one town building (see flier for what data to bring) and you will leave with a complete work-up.

I encourage you to call or email Julia Dundorf, 978-2482 or jdundorf@cleanair-coolplanet.org for more information and to register.

We held our first workshop at the beginning of December in Durham. Over 14 towns came to benchmark their buildings and left with a renewed energy and sense of purpose for their committee. The surprise of the evening came from ‘The Inventioneers’ a group of kids from Londonderry who came having already measured one of their buildings and handed around a report for everyone to look at. They were an inspiration to us all.
